NIAGARA FALLS —
Carol V. White, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly, on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born on January 26, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Steinfeld) White.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1951. Carol, later, received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Fredonia. For her entire career, she was a school teacher for the Niagara Falls School District. In addition, Carol worked nights teaching ESL in the community. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, where she also taught Sunday School.
Carol is survived by one sister, Virginia K. (White) Clark; one brother-in-law, Peter S. Clark; one nephew, Roger F. (Laura) Clark; one great-nephew, Noah Clark as well as many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one nephew, Wayne Clark.
There will be no prior visitation. A private funeral service and burial will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in her name to the Niagara Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, 64 Hager Street, Buffalo, NY 14208-1327. Arrangements were entrusted to the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007).
