John A. Cortellini, Jr.

ROCHESTER — John A. Cortellini, Jr., formerly of Niagara Falls, of Rochester, NY, left this world peacefully         surrounded by family and friends on May 3, 2014, at the age of 61. John leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Cynthia (Sykes) Cortellini; his children, Jonathan (fiance Luisa Parina) Cortellini and Justina Ann Cortellini. John is also survived by his brother, Mark (Suzy) Cortellini; brother-in-law, Brian (Mary) Sykes; sister-in-law, Rena Sykes; nephews, Marcus (Andrea) Cortellini and Jeremy Sykes; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   

John grew up and attended schools in Niagara Falls. He moved to Rochester in the mid-70s and worked in the automobile industry for over 30 years. John was a loving and devoted husband, amazing father, and a special friend to many. He was a wonderful story teller, enjoyed cooking, loved sports and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 7, from 4:00-8:00 PM at DiPonzio Funeral Home, 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Thursday, May 8, friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at 11:15 AM in St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Interment, private.
