NIAGARA FALLS —

Mary Lee (Mulkey) Simpson, 90, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2013 at the Schoellkopf Health Center. Mary Lee was born on November 28, 1923 in Worth County, GA to the Late Arthur Mulkey, Sr. and Linnie Bell (Boyd) Mulkey.
Mary Lee was very active in her church, with her family and her community. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She was a member of the Great Lakest Usher Board and Order of the Eastern Star. She participated in the Willing Workers Senior Group.
Mary Lee is survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Mulkey) Hamilton whom she had resided with for over 50 years; her brother, Jay Lee Mulkey, Sr. (Lillie Pearl) of Niagara Falls. Mary Lee has a special niece, Ardell (David) Dolson, whom she considered and treated as a daughter. She was also like a mother to her sister's children, Bertha (Richard) Hill of Buffalo,.NY, Lessie Hamilton-Rose (Dennis) of Rochester, James Hamilton, Jr. (Cindy) of Somerset, NJ, Annie Hamilton and Darlene (Eric) Johns of Niagara Falls and Toni Herbert of Charlotte, NC; a very special friend, Ethel Shellman of Lockport, NY. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Lee was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur, Jr., Claude, Charlie, James, Isaac Mulkey, Sr.; and a sister, Cilla Mulkey. She was the widow of Bo Simpson. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Elder James A. Hamilton, Sr.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Mount Erie Missionary Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY and services will follow at Noon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street Niagara Falls, NY.
