Wayne E. Bundy

NIAGARA FALLS — Wayne E. Bundy, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was 79. He was born in Snyder Township, PA on September 20, 1933, a son of the late Louis E. and Wilma (Weaver) Bundy. He attended Pennsylvania schools and graduated from Brockway-Snyder High School.

Mr. Bundy married Theresa M. Zacher in 1969, and they remained happily married until her passing in 2011. He worked in production for Western Electric in Tonawanda for many years, and after his retirement he worked security for Morris Protective Services in Niagara Falls until 2012. He was a longtime member of Riverside Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, doing puzzles, playing cards and watching sports, but his greatest joy was his time with his family.

He is survived by eight children, Linda (Stan) Zimmerman, Lawrence (Bev) Weatherston, Mae (Jim) Smith, Wayne (Margie) Bundy, Jr., Mark (Patti) Weatherston, Donald (Gloria) Weatherston, Ann Weatherston Davis and Celeste (William) Barrett. He is also survived by siblings, Frank Bundy and Jane (Buddy) Kaney;  22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his loving wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Shirley (late Norman) Bundy-Krantz.

Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., on Friday from    1-3 and 6-8 PM, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 PM, with Pastor Laura Norris-Buisch officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston.
