Cecilia M. Sysak

WILLOWICK, OH — Cecilia M. Sysak, 98, of Willowick, OH, passed away June 11, 2013. Born Nov. 1, 1914, in         Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of John and Mary (nee Steigauf) Dravetsky.

Cecilia was caretaker to many, blessed those around her with fantastic baking, cooking and all around hospitality. She enjoyed playing games, especially checkers, cards and bingo, as well as being an avid bird lover and watcher. She had a vast collection of angels, indicative of her deep faith, beliefs and dedication to her church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and was the last of 16 brothers and sisters.

Cecilia is survived by her children, Christine (Jerry) Hrapko of Chardon, OH and Stanley J.    (Patricia) Sysak of Tennessee; grandchildren, Vicky (Brandy) Whisler, Amy, Marcy and Stanley Sysak III, Ryan (Caroline) El-Khoury and Samir (Ashley) El-Khoury; great-grandchildren, Willow and Hayden Whisler and Autumn El-Khoury.

She was loved and supported by numerous extended family and friends in Niagara Falls, NY, Florida and Indiana.  A memorial mass will be said Sat. July 13th, at 11:00 AM at the St. Leo site of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 2748 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, followed with a luncheon reception. The family suggests donations to Feed My People Inc., an outreach ministry of the community, P.O. Box 82, Chardon, OH 44024.
