Mary Carolyn Ferguson

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Mary Carolyn Ferguson, 59, of Niagara Falls, New York, was born on December 13, 1953 in Pensacola, FL to Nimire Burnett and Ernest Burnett (deceased).
Mary worked for The Niagara Falls Board of Education as a Bus Monitor where she understood her passion for kids, especially those with disabilities. She was a dedicated member of The Old Pathway Holiness Church where she served faithfully in the Hospitality Ministry, Deaconess Board, Ushers Ministry, Beautification Ministry, and as an attentive Sunday School Member, Secretary and Correspondent.
Sister Ferguson leaves behind to cherish in her loving memories; her dear mother, Pastor Nimire Burnett; two children, Porter Clarence Burnett (A'Kira Burnett) of Gibsonton, FL and Ramona Matthews of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren, Phenisha Burnett, Phadrian Burnett, DeAndre Burnett, KeAndre Burnett of Gibsonton, FL, Rashad Hall (Shayla Hall) of Niagara Falls, NY, Sharad Welch of Charlotte, NC, Renay Shaw, Briana Bethune, Brian Bethune of Gibsonton; and two great-grandchildren, DeMarian LeMoure Hall of Lumberton, NC and Deyshia Ingram of Gibsonton, FL; three Godchildren, Nakeisha Hall, Jeremiah and Amar; her wonderful uncle, Porter Clarence Powell (Helen Powell) of Chicago, IL; and a host of very close loving cousins, Linda Paige-Griggs and the Paige and Powell Families. She leaves her dear friend, Bessie White, but is predeceased by her lifelong friend, Darlene Freeney, who passed away exactly 120 days before her passing.
Mary was called home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on February 27, 2013.
Visitation on Friday from 6-8 PM in the Old Holiness Church. Funeral to be Saturday at 11 AM. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 635 Main St.
