NAPLES, FL —
Mae Bernice Walck Behrens, 87, passed away on March 7, 2014 in Naples, FL. She was born on January 29, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY to Philip C. Walck and Rose A. DeVantier.
Mae graduated from LaSalle High School. She was a secretary and bookkeeper at C.J. Towers and Sons and Manth Manufacturing. She was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, NY for many years and participated in Altar Guild, Quilting Group and Women's Circle. Mae was also an active member at Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church in Naples, FL for many years and participated in Sew-Sew Group and Faith Circle. Mae was a resident of Naples since 1994, coming from Sanborn, NY.
Mae was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Arnold F. "Arnie" Behrens. She is survived by her four children, Philip of San Francisco, CA, Perry of Naples, FL, Marybeth (Frank Morea) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Paula of Vacaville, CA; her two grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas; her sister, Phyllis Kroening of Sanborn, NY; her two sister-in-laws, Corinne Kernin of Niagara Falls, NY and Kathleen (Robert) Dube of Rochester, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Shepherd of the Glades on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church, 6020 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113.
