Philip J. Biamonte

LEWISTON — Philip J. "Phil" Biamonte, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Katherine (Bongiorno) Biamonte.

Phil attended local schools and worked as a baker at DiCamillo's Bakery for over 10 years,  and later in the production department at Carborundum Corporation in Niagara Falls for over 17 years. On February 8, 1969, he married Diane R. (Florio) Biamonte in Niagara Falls, NY.  Phil was an accomplished woodworker who enjoyed spending time with his family and nothing made him happier than being with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 44 years, Phil is survived by children, Mary Jean (James) Bailor of Niagara Falls, NY, Kimberly M. Dollas of Belfast, NY, and Lynette M. Biamonte Bottom of Niagara Falls, NY, and was predeceased by his son, Thomas Biamonte in 1991. Phil was "Papa" to grandchildren, Michele, Jamie, Amanda, David "D.J.", Alexis, Scotty, Brian and Brittany; step-granddaughter, Kimberley and one great-grandson. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy (John) Manfredo of Niagara Falls, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Phil was predeceased by his brother, Thomas (late Theresa Biamonte Krawczyk) Biamonte.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Flowers are graciously declined.
