Tony Massaro

HAMBURG —

Tony Massaro passed away on May 12, 2013. Born on January 3, 1924 in Medina, NY to Annie and Sevetine Massaro, part of his childhood was spent as one of the original "Father Baker Boys" in Lackawanna. He moved to Niagara Falls where he married Audrey Griffiths, who predeceased him on January 26, 2007. Tony married Marjorie (Herburt) in 2007 and moved to Hamburg, NY.
Tony retired as Superintendent of NY State Armory. He was a member of the Power City Lodge and Big Tree Wesleyan Church. He had many hobbies and talents including painting, story writing, landscaping, and cooking. One of his favorite past times was with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Marjorie, he is survived by son, Anthony (Marcia) Massaro; step-children, Earl (Sharon) Brady, Linda (David) Pilecki, April (Carl) Lamendola and Jean (Ed) Loucks; grandchildren, Angela (Joe) Massaro, Mark (Pam) Massaro, Amy (Mike) Bagar and Anthony (Amy) Massaro; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael; Goddaughter, Yvonne Carr; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestem Blvd. (corner of Rogers Rd.) (646-5555), where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment Lakeside Memorial Cemetery.
