She is survived by her daughter, Heidi (late Clifton) Gatehouse of Lewiston; she was known as "Oma" to her two grandsons, Clark (Judy) and Christopher Gatehouse and her great-grandson, Logan Gatehouse. Also survived by three sisters, Charlotte (late Guenther) Anczok of Sanborn, Erna (Albert) Naslund of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Cecelia (late Luis) Figueroa of California City, CA; a step-brother, August Halbauer of Germany; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 17, at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. There is no prior visitation. Flowers are gratefully declined. The family wishes to place a tree or bench within the village of Lewiston in Liesl's memory.
