Lorenzo Darnell Bryant

HOUSTON, TX — Lorenzo Darnell Bryant, 41, departed this life suddenly on May 2, 2013 in Houston, TX.

Born on November 28, 1971 to Rosila (Freeney) Bryant and Clarence Bryant, Jr. Lorenzo was joined in holy union with the love of his life, Stephanie (Jones) Bryant on July 2, 2011.

Lorenzo was a 1989 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. He went on to continue his education at Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. He was employed by T3 Energy. Lorenzo loved basketball and was an avid Lakers fan.

In addition to his parents and devoted wife, Lorenzo leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sons, Lorenzo Bryant, Jr. and Diondre Eugene; a daughter, Amari Lewis; a sister, Latosha Bryant of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Andre Bryant of Niagara Falls, NY and Donald Watkins, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; his paternal grandmother, Lela Bryant; mother-in-law, Betty Jones and a cousin/sister, Tisha Freeney. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Azzie Lee Freeney; paternal grandfather, Clarence Bryant, Sr. and a daughter, Ashley Jones. He is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lorenzo was the best uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, who referred to him as Uncle Lo or Uncle Renzo.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 5-8 PM at Brookside Funeral Home  located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
