Thelma Armbruster

WHEATFIELD — Thelma Armbruster, of Niagara Falls, died on July 3, 2013 in Elderwood Health Care at         Crestwood. She was 99. Born in a log cabin in the Smokey Mountains on February 28, 1914, the daughter of Clarence and Muriel (Marsh) Stahlman and moved to Niagara Falls as a teen.

An avid genealogist, she traced her ancestors back to 1635.  She was also an antique collector and was a member of the Doll Club in Lockport.

She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2006. Survived by three daughters, Jeryl Trybala of California; Nancy Schuessler (Michael) of Manlius, NY; Holly Cummings (DeWayne) of Ransomville; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Grenfell Stahlman and a sister, Vivian Frawley.

Private services will be held. The LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., is handling the              arrangements.
