Leona Grzybowski

LOCKPORT — Leona (Gadawski) Grzybowski, 95 years old, of Lewiston, passed away on August 21, 2013, at Niagara Hospice House. She was born in Niagara Falls on May 28, 1918, the daughter of the late Felix and Stella (Sendzielewski) Gadawski.

Mrs. Grzybowski attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and South Junior High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and cooking. Mrs. Grzybowski worked as a packer for 42 years at the Carborundum Co. on Buffalo Avenue, and retired in 1977. She was predeceased by her husband, Ferdinand "Fred" Grzybowski, who passed away on April 11, 2005.

She is survived by her brother, Edward (Irene) Gadawski and her sister, Jane Danielewicz, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Leo Gadawski, Charles Gadawski and Joseph Gadawski.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 until 7 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY, with Monsignor Thomas J. Moran officiating. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara  Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
