Alice L. Havens

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Alice L. Havens (Gilliland), age 98, of the Town of Wheatfield, October 14, 2012, after a brief illness.  Alice enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, camping, reading and doing crossword puzzles.  She was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Baughman) McCue. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Gilliland and Raymond Havens.

Beloved mother of Ernestine (Carl) Kwiatkowski of North Tonawanda; Marilyn (Robert) Ventry of Ransomville; Gary (Carol) Gilliland of Fredericksburg, VA; Gail (Charles Mackmin) Gilliland of Wheatfield; and Sharon (Terry) Silvis of North Tonawanda; and the late Kenneth W. Gilliland. Step-mother of Joel (Mary) Havens of Orchard Park. Mother-in-law of Geraldine Gilliland of North Tonawanda. Grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 23, great-great-grandmother of 10. Sister of Ann Martin of Olean; Benjamin McCue of California; and the late Ernestine, William, Ruth, Charles, Jack and Marjorie. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 AM, the Rev. Stewart Buisch will officiate.
