Carolyn Virginia Pack


Carolyn Virginia Pack, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Wayland, KY, on January 7, 1917, the daughter of the late Walter and Ellen (Cox) Martin.
Mrs. Pack moved to Niagara Falls in 1942 and later to the Town of Cambria in 1959. She was employed in the Starpoint School System for over 20 years. Mrs. Pack was an active member of the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and canning.
Mrs. Pack was the wife of the late Haskel Pack, who died in January of 1987. She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. (Michael) Tata of Lockport; seven grandchildren, Amanda (John) Thorsby, Jonathan and Jason (Janelle) Treichler, Jessica (Jeff) Plank, Jesse Clinton, Christian and Colin Pack; six great-grandchildren, Savannah, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Shelby, Chase and Jordan; one brother, George (Mildred) Martin. Also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pack was the mother of the late Larry, Hubert Ray, Timothy Wade Pack and Karen Treichler and was the sister of six late brothers and six late sisters.
The family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on  Wednesday at 11:00 AM,  with the  Rev. C. Wayne Hokanson officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, 3520 Saunders Settlement Rd., Sanborn, NY 14132. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
