Melisha "Lady" Paonessa

NIAGARA FALLS —

Melisha "Lady" Paonessa, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was born in  Niagara Falls, NY, on September 24, 1970, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Jean (Davis) Smith.
Melisha graduated from Trott Vocational High School in 1988. She was employed at Walmart from 1992 until 2003 and later at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in the Housekeeping Department for the past seven years. Melisha loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, fishing and walking around the Niagara Falls.
She is survived by her children, Timothy and Maranda Paonessa; four grandchildren, Timothy "TJ', De'Zyre, Giavonna and De'Shayah; a brother, Marlowe J. Smith; a sister, Adrianne; her former husband, John Paonessa; a niece and a nephew. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will be present on Saturday from 11 AM-12 PM at Bethlehem Revival Temple, 2010 Virginia Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Evelyn Parmer officiating. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Niagara Falls, NY.
