Eileen M. Payne


Eileen M. Payne, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in the Schoellkopf Health Care Center, Niagara Falls, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario on December 10, 1923, the daughter of the late James and Florence (Allen) McGinnis.
Mrs. Payne came to Niagara Falls, NY with her family in 1935. She was a secretary at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for over 20 years. Mrs. Payne was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church, where she was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Bereavement Committee and was a Eucharistic Minister and had volunteered at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital for  many years.
Mrs. Payne was the wife of the late Cecil A. "Ted" Payne, who died on September 25, 1996. She is survived by two sons, James M. (Susan) Payne of Niagara Falls, NY and Francis W. "Frank" (Sharon) Payne, Memphis, TN; two daughters, Mary Kay (James) Jordan and Elizabeth (Michael Mash) Schlosser, both of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother, James (Sally) McGinnis; a daughter-in-law, Michele Payne. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Payne was the mother of the late Patrick J. Payne; sister of the late  David McGinnis, Kathleen West, Helen Kandt, Dorothy Evans and Patricia Goliscik.
The family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM  at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Raphael  Roman Catholic Parish, College and Macklem Avenues, Niagara Falls, NY with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to St. Raphael Parish. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery,  Lewiston, NY.
