Ronald H. Nyland

YOUNGSTOWN —  

Ronald H. Nyland, of Youngstown, died on Friday, March 29, 2013 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was 62. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 11, 1951, the son of Ronald W. and Ada (Herbolt) Nyland. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School.
Ron was a metal fabricator for Emerson Electric, Grand Island for 27 years. In 2001, he began employment as a computer technician with Time Warner Cable working in the call center. He had many interests, including photography, model trains, bird watching and computers. He was a member of Youngstown Presbyterian Church, the WNY Van Association and the Niagara Orleans Model Train Club.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teri (Mumford) Nyland; three children, Dennis Roell of Niagara Falls, Christine Nyland (Keith Skelton) of Lancaster, SC and Kenneth Nyland (fiance Jessica Whitton) of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Ashlee Roell and Elizabeth Nyland; a sister, Kathy Manheim (James) of Scranton, PA; several nieces and nephews. 
Friends may call on Easter Sunday from 5-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Society.
