NIAGARA FALLS —

Steven Michael Pietricone, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. He was 54. He was born in Lafayette, IN on June 3, 1959, a son of Dorothy A. (Pawlak) Pietricone and the late Peter A. Pietricone. He moved to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools. Steven graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1977 and then attended N.C.C.C. He worked as a chemist at Precious Plate for 20 years until his retirement.
He was an esteemed member of the T.O.K., and he was a huge sports fan and loved the St. Louis Rams, the Philadelphia Flyers and the NY Yankees. He loved to golf, play hockey and played football for local teams, one of which won the league championship in Cincinnati. While playing lacrosse for Niagara on the Lake Ontario, the team won the All Ontario Championship. He was an avid bowler and rolled a perfect 300 game in the Rochester Lilac Tournament.
Steven married his high school sweetheart, Cindy (Harvey), after reconnecting some 35 years later and spent the last 5 years as man and wife. In addition, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy A. Cury of Florida; his two sons, Steven M. Pietricone, Jr. and Zac Pietricone. He is also survived by five step-children, Joseph (Brandy) Blose, Crystal (Jay) Denman, Holly (Ricky) Amodeo, Kelly (Ryan Nicholas) Blose, and Trevor Harvey; three siblings, Cathy (Gary) Gotthelf of Florida, Frank (Theresa) Pietricone of Niagara Falls, and John Pietricone of Florida; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Anthony Pietricone, in 1983.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Saturday from 2-6 PM where services will be held at 6 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
