NIAGARA FALLS —
Linda J. (Dunlap) Gratto, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Dunlap.
Linda was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She worked as a cook for the U.S. Navy as well as local restaurants in the community. Her dream was to open her own restaurant. Linda owned and operated the Main Street Cafe' in Niagara Falls, NY prior to retirement after 22 years. Linda received the NBC Spotlight Award, Accommodation Award, MSBA Award, Small Business Award, and Clean Sweep Award. She also enjoyed driving her Corvette and spending time with her loving family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Gratto; two sons, Michael Gratto and Mark Gratto, both of Niagara Falls, NY; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Ethen; one sister, Nancy (Norm) Dorgan of Niagara Falls, NY; two brothers, Robert (Mike) Dunlap of Kansas City, MO and Larry (Diane) Dunlap of Alabama; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also missed by her dogs, Pumpkin and Sherrie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 AM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 500 Riverdale Avenue, Lewiston, NY.
