NIAGARA FALLS —
Ora Lee Parmer, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, went home to be with the Lord at Schoellkopf Health Center, Niagara Falls, NY.
Ora was born October 28, 1934 to the late William Gus and Elisa Ross Price. She attended local schools in the Roanoke, VA area where she graduated Valedictorian of her class.
Ora was employed in the work force for over 40 years as a Home Health Aide until she retired. Ora was a genuine loving person. She always helped others, never looking for anything in return.
She attended St. John AMC Church where she was a faithful servant and a dedicated member of the kitchen committee, until her health failed her. Ora loved cooking and taking care of her family.
Ora leaves to cherish her memories five children, Bruce Parmer, Jeffrey (Tina) Parmer, Larry Parmer, Daphne Parmer and Jennifer (Eddie) Powell; two sisters, Gertrude Turner and Paulette Helms; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three very dear friends, Louise Gaddi, Freddie Mae Thornton and Essie Mae Ewing. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her son, Michael A. Price; grandson, Ronell D. Peterson; four sisters, Anna Bell Price, Ellen Stevens, Genieva Price and Mary Ann Price; three brothers, Richard Price, Herbert Price and Rosco Price.
Visitation, Tuesday 6-8 PM in the St. John A.M.E. Church, 917 Garden Ave. Funeral services, 11 AM Wednesday in the church. Burial, Riverdale. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St.
