NIAGARA FALLS — Angeline J. Covatto, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Curwensville, PA, on May 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Jerome and Palma (Titi) Fideli.

Mrs. Covatto came to Niagara Falls with her family in 1928. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Mrs. Covatto was a hairdresser and was one of the founding parents that started the lunch  program at St. Teresa's School. She was a very active member of St. Teresa's Church, serving on several groups and committees over the years. Mrs. Covatto loved spending time and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  

She was the wife of 69 years to the late Albert V. Covatto, who died in December of 2006.

Mrs. Covatto is  survived by three daughters, Barbara (Albert) Krul of Slidell, LA, Janet (late Jerry) Neville of Erie, PA, and Janice Covatto of Lewiston, NY; also 10 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William and Lester Fideli, Rose Scrivani, Alice Scavulli, Lavinia Porroni, Helen Metro and Ruth Morazzano.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caretakers, Cindy Jacobs, Jody Kowdeski, Kelsey and Jessica Wrobel, and to Janice Covatto from her sisters for her many years of loving attention.

The family will be present on Sunday from 3-6 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, Lewiston, NY. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael  Roman Catholic Parish, College and Macklem Avenues, Niagara Falls, NY, with Msgr. Thomas Crane officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Raphael's Parish.               Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
