NIAGARA FALLS —
Anita Orcutt, 97, passed away comfortably under the care of Hospice at Schoellkopf Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Anita was born on November 16, 1914, and lived most of her life on Grand Avenue with her parents, Assunda and Angelo Fulgenzi.
She was married to Bill Orcutt, who passed away in 1956. Anita had two sons. Her son, Billy, now resides in Porterville, CA, with his wife Robin. Her other son, Gerald, passed away in Treasure Island, FL in 2006. Gerald's wife, Patti, and his daughter and grandchildren still reside in Treasure Island. Anita had three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Thomas DelZoppo), Julia (Mrs. Anthony Sabella) and Laurina (Mrs. Thomas DiCamillo), all predeceased her. Besides her son, Billy, she is survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and her loyal and faithful dog, Buffy.
Anita served as an executive secretary to the General Manager of National Lead Corporation until her retirement. She also was a part-time cashier at the Como Restaurant for many years. Her earliest employment was as the secretary for the manager of the Niagara Falls Airport. Anita was a longtime member of the Western New York Doll Club.
Anita's wishes were that her body be donated to the University of Buffalo Medical School for Research so there will be no memorial service.
