Kevin Patrick Higgins


Kevin Patrick Higgins, 62, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on January 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on March 3, 1950 to the late Emmett D. and Mary V. (Lavasseur) Higgins.
A 1968 Graduate of LaSalle Senior High, Kevin attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He worked as a professional photographer, architectural renderer and a professional truck driver. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local 375, and retired from Arkansas Best Freight in 2002.
On April 30, 2000, Kevin married Lisa Scibilia. They enjoyed many years together, dividing their time between Niagara Falls and Las Vegas, NV, where Kevin's daughter, Vicki, settled. A bright spot in his life was spending time with his beloved grandson, Luke. Kevin was an accomplished artist with a lifelong love of photography and the arts. He leaves behind many beautiful works to be cherished by his family. He and Lisa shared a passion for golfing and traveling. Their trips throughout the United States, Canada and Italy were among his favorite memories. He will be remembered for his unique humor and loving nature, by those closest to him.
In addition to his wife of twelve years, Kevin is survived by a daughter, Victoria (Brian) Munroe; and a grandson, Luke Munroe, all of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, George (Barbara) Higgins of Niagara Falls, NY and Tim (Ida) Higgins of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 9th from 4-6 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with a Memorial Service to be held at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Creekside Hospice, 3675 Pecos McLeod, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
