J. Roger Culbert

NIAGARA FALLS — J. Roger Culbert left us on January 24, 2013, after a lengthy illness. He was with us for 72 years. Born August 16, 1940 to Jack and Margaret (Peavey) Culbert, Roger lived his youth above Culbert's  Hotel on Buffalo Avenue where his father was proprietor.

Roger loved cars, the Yankees, good scotch, and Marilyn and Elvis. His leisure time was spent golfing, camping, hunting, bowling, or barbecuing. He lived life to the fullest and on his terms.

He gained notoriety in the community as the successful owner/operator of Culbert's Wholesale Tire for over 40 years. Roger Culbert was a well-known and respected businessman and a dearly loved father and grandfather.

He will be greatly missed by his three children, Carey, John and Jody; and his six grandchildren, Kendall, Gianni and Carmela Guaglianone, Parker Culbert, Gage Prenovost and Rylan Rizkovsky.

Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service, followed by a Celebration of Roger's Life. Details to be announced at a later date.
