Rita Davy

LEWISTON — On January 4, 2013, Rita (White) Davy, of Lewiston, NY, stepped out of her body and into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Rita was an active Christian and spent her youth dedicated to "Youth for Christ" Organization. She was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School. She went on to work for Mount St. Mary's Hospital, experiencing great joy for many years in the maternity ward as she helped usher new babies into the world.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling in the United States and Europe alike, bird watching, nature, hiking and camping. She also enjoyed crafts and crafting. Although M.S. slowed her down, she remained steadfast in her Christian faith and will be remembered for her "sweet spirit, sunshine giggles and her generous giving heart."

Rita was predeceased by her mother and father, Earl and Helen (Bowser) White; and her father-in-law, Fred Davy. She is survived by her adoring husband, Brock Davy;  loving brothers and sister, Carol (Langley) Rose of Houston; William White; Jerry (Marlene) White, both of Niagara Falls; Larry Eugene (Cindy) White of Dallas; Roger (Shari) White of Northwestern, NY; her dear mother-in- law, Irene Ursula Davy of Lewiston; and devoted sister and brother-in-law, Linnie and Gary Nolan of Waterport, NY; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Monday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo      Avenue, Niagara Falls. Memorial services will be held Tuesday 11 AM in Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
