Stephen Wacht

SANBORN —  

Stephen Wacht, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in the Town of Niagara, on December 21, 1918, the son of the late Stephen and Antonia (Przybylska) Wacht.
Mr. Wacht served the US Army during World War II with the 6th Armored Division in the European Theater, where he was awarded a Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He was a supervisor at Mt. View Hospital and later with the  Health Care Facility, for over 35 years. Mr. Wacht enjoyed traveling around the country and the world.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julia F. (Wojtowicz) Wacht; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Wacht was the brother of several late brothers and sisters.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Interment with Military Honor will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst, NY.
