NIAGARA FALLS —
Keith F. Johnston, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 16, 1949 in Cape Croker, Ontario Canada, he was the son of late Victor E. and Mary Victoria Johnston.
Keith was member of The Chippewa's of Nawash Unceded First Nation, of the eastern shore of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada. He left Canada as a young man to come to the United States to start a family with his wife Karen. Working at Dobbi Foundry as a welder, he enjoyed playing pool, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Johnston) Craft; son, Nathan (Siri) Johnston, Sr.; daughter, Babbette (Carl) Ealy; grandchildren, Joshua, Carl, Jr., Isabella and Nathan, Jr.; sisters, Gail (Reg) Johnson and Victoria Dee (late Bob) Hamlyn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Elgin, Wayne, Gene; and sister, Ileen Johnston.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 4th from 2-5 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St. cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 5:30 PM. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
