Mary Christine Manning

LEWISTON — Mary Christine (Kloosterman) Manning, a longtime resident of 82nd Street, Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital. She was 93. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 23, 1919, the daughter of Henry and Catherine (Vanderwald) Kloosterman.

Mrs. Manning worked 30 years for NIOGA Library System as a senior research clerk. She was a longtime member of St.  John de LaSalle RC Church and its seniors. She  enjoyed traveling and card playing.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick Manning (Anna) of Buffalo; Michael Manning (Carol) of Avon; four grandchildren, Joseph, Brigid, Mark and Marcy Manning; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Manning in 1959; and siblings, Anna, Henrietta, John, Johanna and Jenny.

Friends may call Friday from 3-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo      Avenue, where prayers will be said Saturday 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Martha's of St. John de LaSalle RC Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
