Ruby Manchester

LEWISTON — Ruby (Barrett) Manchester, a long-time resident of Niagara Falls, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was 97. She was born in Sodus Point, NY on August 21, 1915, the daughter of Charles and Helen Barrett.

Mrs. Manchester was a long-time volunteer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the      American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. She was also a member of Niagara Community Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Manchester and her daughter, Barbara Hague.  Survivors include a son, Paul Manchester (Betty) of Ransomville; her son-in-law, Robert Hague of Niagara Falls; two grandchildren, Craig Hague and Wayne Hague, both of Niagara Falls; great-grandchildren, Wayne II, Vicky, Mike, Colleen and David, and a niece, Diane Jones of Sodus Point, NY.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, 219 Bryant Street, Buffalo, NY.
