Gloria V. Ulrich

NIAGARA FALLS —

Gloria V. (Dean) Ulrich, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at her residence. She was 86. She was born in Niagara Falls on January 23, 1927, the daughter of the late Ward and Elsie (Spangler) Dean.
She attended local schools and then worked as an operator for New York Telephone until she became a stay at home mother to raise her children. Mrs. Ulrich's greatest joy was her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was involved with the Boy Scouts with her sons and grandsons and the Girl Scouts with her daughter and granddaughters.
She is survived by two children, Keith (Brenda) Ulrich and Vickie (John) Root; five grandchildren, Michael, Keith, Stacie, Craig, and Kaylee; three great-grandchildren, Kristi, Michael, and Ava; and special friend, Irene. She was predeceased by her husband, A. John Ulrich (1993); three children, John (1954), Craig (1972), and Dean (2002); and her granddaughter, Kristi Lynn Ulrich (1996).
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where prayers will be said on Friday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue. Burial will be in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston.
