Barbara Maloney


Barbara Maloney, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Lawrence, MA, on July 11, 1947, the daughter of the late Raymond and Elaine (Ryan) Bennert.
Barbara attended grade school in Washington, D.C., graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and attended business school. She was employed with Kittinger Furniture in Buffalo, NY, as a procurement manager for NAPA and a press operator at Moore Business Forms for 16 years. Barbara was a professional photographer and videographer.
She  volunteered at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, the  Retired Senior Volunteer Program, the NACC, with the City of Niagara Falls and Oakwood Cemetery. Barbara was a Eucharistic Minister and actively involved at St. Mary's Church. She was fond of photographing people and nature and made floral arrangements year round. Barbara had a great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and loved her pets and plants.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy A. Maloney; two brothers, Michael (Jean) Bennert of Carson City, NV and Brian (Annette) Bennert of Lewiston, NY; a sister, Christine Davidson of Hanover, MA. She was the aunt of  John Bielec, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Nathan (Angela) Bennert of Drexel, PA, Matthew (Jodie) Bennert of Lackawanna, NY, Julia Bennert of Lewiston, NY, Cory Davidson and Jesse Davidson, both of Hanover, MA, Deirdre (Jeffrey) Schneider of San Diego, CA, Maryl (Alan) Badenko of Clarence, NY, Elissa (David) Gwina of New York City and Carrie (Michael) Logar of Grand Island, NY; also six grandnieces and two grandnephews.
The family will be present on Monday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA  FALLS, NY. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at  St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY with the Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Mary's Church.
