Pauline Chrysler

TUSCARORA NATION —

Pauline Chrysler, of the Tuscarora Nation, Turtle Clan, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Hamilton and Adella Rose (Henry) Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Chrysler was employed with the Niagara-Wheatfield School System for over 20 years and with Dickie's Donuts. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going to church, watching lacrosse, dancing, traveling and racing.
Mrs. Chrysler was the wife of the late Harold Chrysler, who died in November of 1979. She is survived by three sons, Joseph (Laima) Chrysler, Roger (Tammy) Chrysler and Randy (Kandice) Chrysler; one daughter, Deborah (Tim Black) Chrysler, all of the Tuscarora Nation. Mrs. Chrysler was the sister-in-law of Trudy Chrysler, James Schiffert and John Gansworth. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ann Ruth Schiffert, Hamilton Mt. Pleasant, Jr., Betty Hewitt, Laverne Mt. Pleasant, Elise Wagner, Minerva Bissell, Ronald Mt. Pleasant and Louise Gansworth.
The family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where a prayer service will be held at 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, with the Rev. Walter A. Printup, Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to Our Lady of Peace. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
