Barry J. Wannicki


Barry J. Wannicki, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at his home. He was born in Jamestown, NY on May 29, 1967, the son of Donald J. and Mary (Brett) Wannicki of Ransomville, NY and the late Judith Mae (Shafer) Wannicki.
Barry moved to Niagara Falls in 1985 and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He served with the US ARMY, where he received the Army Achievement Medal. Barry became a long distance truck driver and then a line cook for various restaurants in the city. He was an avid hunter and a die hard Oakland Raiders fan. He was known for his love of Rock n' Roll music and trivia.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Patrick J. Wannicki of Buffalo, NY; and his niece, Megan Merrell. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the wishes of his family. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Lewiston, NY.
