PORT DOVER, ON —

Richard "Rick" Dennis Cutler, age 65, of Port Dover, Ontario, Canada, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Welland, Ontario on September 12, 1948, the son of the late Frank Cutler and Tina (Allan) Moffatt.
Rick was a welder, and worked at Cataract Steel in Niagara Falls, and Schwabel Fabricating in North Tonawanda, and also worked at DuPont Chemical Company, as a Supervisor, retiring after over 30 years. He also enjoyed working on his antique cars and was a member of the Freewheelers Car Club for ten years. He was President of Norfolk Condo #3 since 2007.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a football, hockey and baseball fan. He was a former baseball coach for Hyde Park Little League and a hockey coach for the Wheatfield Blades.
Rick will be remembered and missed by many and his sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by those who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchilden (the "Rascals") and took great pride and joy spending time with them and watching their sporting events.
In addition to his wife of 14 years, Jimmie Ann, Rick is survived by two daughters, Kim Nalbone (Alan Bowers) of Youngstown NY, and Tina (Bill) Schiavitti of Ransomville, NY; grandchildren, Amanda and Zak Nalbone, Billy and Michael Schiavitti, and Genna Fitzgerald; stepsons, Mark Fitzgerald (Colleen) of Pinegrove, Ontario and Josh Fitzgerald (Kayla) of Jarvis, Ontario; stepdaughter, Marsha Fitzgerald (Brett) of Waterloo, Ontario; brother, Bob (Linda) Cutler of Niagara Falls, Ontario; sister, Cheryl (Bob) VanThuyne of Port Rowan, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation, as Rick has requested. A private service will be held in Port Dover, Ontario at the convenience of the family. If you wish to remember him in a special way, Memorial Contributions can be sent in his name to: The Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
