Eleanor M. Henry

YOUNGSTOWN —

Eleanor M. (nee Kresman) Henry, 92, formerly of Youngstown, NY, passed from this life on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane, NY, following a brief illness. Born on March 5, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elma (Ousterhout) Kresman.
Mrs. Henry attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On November 6, 1943, Eleanor married Leo Henry. He predeceased her on April 1, 1981. Together, in 1949, they moved to Youngstown, NY.
Mrs. Henry is survived by three children, Leo A. Henry, Aaron (late Linda) Henry and Betty Shippy; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Eleanor is also survived by one brother, William (late Helen) Kresman; many nieces, nephews and cousins and her dear friend and daughter-in-law, Sally Henry. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two siblings, Robert (late Virginia) Kresman and Helen (late Russell) White.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 10:00 AM with Deacon Patrick Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston, NY.
