Virginia M. Smith

NIAGARA FALLS — Virginia M. Smith, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 15, 2014.

She  was born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 26, 1957, a daughter of the late Julius C. and  Eddie  Lee  (Smith)  Crittenden.

Virginia graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was a  Health Care Aide at Mount St.  Mary's Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Virginia is  survived by  three grandchildren, Antiono Smith, Kenya Gilliam and Christina    Griggs; three great-grandchildren, Ausiana, Shakeria and Alayah; one sister, Ella Mae Betts; four brothers, Floyd, Victor, Julice and Allen Crittenden; a brother-in-law, Kenneth J. Argent. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Anthony J. Smith and Angela M. Smith, and sister of the late Virginia L. Argent.

The family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with the  Rev. William Feagins officiating. Interment at Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
