NIAGARA FALLS —
Carol Ann Pembleton-Savoie, 77, lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Grimbsy, Ontario. Born on the Tuscarora Reservation on July 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kathleen (Maracle) Pembleton.
Carol worked at Seneca Niagara Casino until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed playing at the casino and most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years, William M. Savoie, the mother of Wallace (Deborah), Terry Lynn, Donald, Jack, John, Carol, Patricia Nancy, Beverly, Christopher, Maureen and MacKenzie. Carol is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Sanford (Maggie), Russell (Nancy), Elias and Wesley Pembleton, Lesley and Jimmy Fish, Peter and Ace Johnson, Carmen Foxworth, Betty (Marley) Parks, Judy Gibbons, Dale (Dan) Davis, Rinnette Raso, Madelene Gallow, Kathy (Dick) Maslen and the late Gloria Conway, Robert, Tone, Kayo, and Conrad Pembleton and Alfred Fish; dearest cousin and friend to Sonya (Sookie) Clause.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 6th from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby, Ontario (905.945.2755) where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, July 7th, 2014 at 1 PM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, Grimsby, Ontario, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
