Delores Evelyn Bilson

NIAGARA FALLS —

Delores Evelyn (Starkey) Bilson, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Northgate Manor Health Care Facility, while receiving care from Niagara Hospice. She was born in Kenmore, NY, on November 27, 1929, the daughter of Lincoln Allen and Martha Louise (Eberhardt) Starkey. Attending area schools, she was a graduate of the former LaSalle Jr./Sr. High School. Delores loved to read, crochet, play bingo and her visits to the casino.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Bilson, in 2004. She was the devoted and loving mother of Kathy DeMartin (Dan), Robin J. Barone, both of Niagara Falls, James H. Bilson (Suzanne) of Lockport, Karen M. Bilson (Mat Gimmey) of North Tonawanda, Mary Louise Bilson (John Coram), Thomas A. Bilson, both of Niagara Falls, and Tracey L. Blank (Matt McCabe) of Sanborn; loving sister of the late Barbara Magliarditi; dearest grandmother and great-grandmother of Jamie, Justin, Geoff, Cassie, Chris, Jeremy, Robbie, Jonathan, Gabrielle, Miranda, Mackenzie, Courtney and Emily, Gianna, Robert, Brooklyn, Devin, Lilyanna, James Patrick, Vincent, Blair and Beckett; grandmother to Wendy, Julie, Marc; and great-grandmother to Garrett, Derek and Libby. She is also survived sisters-in-law, Joyce, Nancy and Betty; and brother-in-law, Richard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to the staff of Northgate Health Care Facility and to the staff of Niagara Hospice at Northgate Health Care Facility.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. John de LaSalle R.C. Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Interment will be private in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda, NY. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice.
