LEWISTON — Peggy A. Printup, of Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.

A member of the White Bear Clan, she was  born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Mae Violet (Printup) Wilkinson.

Mrs. Printup attended Maple Avenue and North Junior High Schools, before graduating from  Niagara Falls High School. She was employed as a riveter at Bell Aircraft during World War II, with Moore Business Forms in the packing department,  and as a sales clerk at Coulson's Pharmacy for over 25 years, before retiring.

Mrs. Printup was a member the American Legion LaSalle Post #1142 Ladies Auxiliary,      Messiah Lutheran Church and a Rangerette with the National Ranger Association, and the North East Chapter of Rangers. She enjoyed swimming and bowling.

Mrs. Printup is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Printup, Sr.; they were married on September 1, 1951;  two sons, Randall R. (Lynnor) Printup of the Tuscarora Nation and John (Susan) Printup, DDS, of Glastonbury, CT; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Raymond, Ashleigh, Kolin,  George, Jessica and Justin; a great-granddaughter, Layla Grace; a sister-in-law, Corliss (Charles)  Decker and a niece, Gail. She was the sister of the late Raymond C. Wilkinson.

The family will be present on Friday from 5-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM, and funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM, with the Rev. Walter A. Printup officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Upper Mountain Fire Company. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Tuscarora Nation.
