Callie M. Maxwell

NIAGARA FALLS — Callie Brundidge Maxwell, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, departed this life on Monday, July 14, 2014, after a brief illness, surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 10, 1934, in Butler County, AL. Callie was the daughter of the late John Brundidge and Evelyn (Hudson) Brundidge. She moved to Niagara Falls in the late 1950s, and attended local schools. She was joined in holy matrimony to Jerome Maxwell, Jr.

Callie was employed by and retired from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after 42 years of service. Callie was a member of Mount Erie Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending Sunday school. Callie was an original member of the Mount Erie Evangelistic Choir and sung with the choir for over 50 years. Callie enjoyed baseball and watching the Young and The Restless.

Callie was predeceased by her late husband, Jerome Maxwell, Jr. on March 20, 1960; and also by one brother, Edward Paul Brundidge on May 30, 2007. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Christopher M. Maxwell of Niagara Falls, NY; two granddaughters, Taquelah Maxwell and Shavella Maxwell of Savannah, GA; four great-granddaughters, Tani'ah Jackson, Shannell Carter, Kahmylle Carter and Brooklyn Carter, all of Savannah, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends mourn the loss of Aunt Callie.

Visitation for friends is Friday, July 18, 2014, from 11 AM to Noon. Funeral services to follow immediately after at 12 Noon at Mount Erie Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St.
