Helen A. Szostak

LEWISTON — Helen A. (Salacinski) Szostak, 83 years old, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was born in Niagara Falls on July 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Stanley and Aniela (Sczpaniak) Salacinski.

Mrs. Szostak attended local schools. As a young woman she worked at the former Walker's  Laundry; in the Finishing Department at International Paper Mill, and in the Finishing Department of the Tissue Mill at Kimberly Clark Corporation. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lewiston Fire Company No. 1 and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Mrs. Szostak was predeceased by her husband, Alexander J. Szostak, who passed away on May 21, 2008. She is survived by her son, James (Joanne) Szostak of Ransomville; her brother, Barney Salacinski of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Domin, Joseph Dominski, Thomas Dominski, Matthew Dominski, Edward Dominski and Leonard Saleski; and her sisters, Natalia Adamczyk and Sophie Kowalczyk.

NO PRIOR VISITATION. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements by the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
