PALM BAY, FL —
Anthony J. Delfino, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully in Palm Bay, FL on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the William Childs Hospice House, after a brief illness. Anthony was born on March 18, 1928 in Boston, MA to Berlino and Vittoria (Pacione) Delfino, who predeceased him. He was married to Livia Delfino, who predeceased him as well.
Anthony attended Trott Vocational High School for four years in a Carpenter's Apprenticeship program, studying drafting and blue print reading.
Anthony served in the Marine Corp from 1946-47 during World War II. He was then stationed in Hawaii.
He was a Job Superintendent for Wright and Kremer's Inc. for 34 years. He took great pride in being part of building Artpark in Lewiston, NY, and the New York Power Authority.
He was an avid golfer and was a long-time member of Niagara Frontier Country Club, winning several tournaments. After his retirement he moved to Palm Bay, FL to enjoy the sunshine in paradise. He made several lasting friendships and enjoyed working part time at several golf courses. Anthony will be remembered for his humor and great smile, his nickname, "Silver Fox" for his gray hair, and his beautiful blue eyes.
He was the brother of Angela (Lewis) Ligammari, who predeceased him on April 8, 2013. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind his forever friend, Joyce Emery Bernard and her children, and many friends in Niagara Falls that were never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life with family and friends on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Mount Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, in Niagara Falls, NY, with Father Stewart Lindsay officiating. Donations may be made to William Childs Hospice House of Palm Bay, FL. Cremation by Palm Bay Funeral Home, Palm Bay, FL.
