Dennis K. Hager

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Dennis K. Hager passed away on February 9, 2014, in St. Petersburg, FL. Born in Coaldale, PA on June 7, 1941, Denny was the son of the late Margaret (Bowman) and Cyril Krulisky and Kenneth Francis Hager.

Denny spent his child and young adulthood in Niagara Falls, and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959. He earned his BS in engineering from Clarkson College and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Denny married the love of his life, Alice Lance-Hager in St. Petersburg, FL.

Denny worked for Grayhound Computers in Chicago, and then became the President for Streamside at Vail in Colorado.

Denny was a Vietnam War veteran and served two tours there as a Lieutenant. He earned, among other honors, a Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart, saving his platoon during a battle. He served in the Fife and Drum Corp in Washington, DC, playing trumpet in the JFK Funeral Procession. Denny loved classical music and would play it anytime and anywhere.

Denny played hockey for Clarkson College and he was an avid golfer, at one time reaching pro status.

In addition to his beloved wife Alice, Denny is survived by his brother, Glenn (Debbie) Krulisky and sister, Karen Brown; step-sons, Troy Mangone, Daniel Lance and Erik Lance; step-daughters, Lisa Risner, Alison Lance and Rebecca Cappello; 16 step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014, at 11:00AM, at David C. Gross Funeral Home on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, FL.
