NIAGARA FALLS — Mafalda (Risio) Danielewicz, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 7, 2013, with her beloved husband and caregiver at her side. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Nancy (Speranzo) Risio.

Muffy, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was a lifelong resident of  Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On January 29, 1968, she married Edward P. Danielewicz in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Muffy began working in the housekeeping department of the former Hotel Niagara. Afterwards she worked at the Parkway Inn as a waitress and went on to become assistant banquet manager, until her retirement. Muffy took great pleasure in being a homemaker and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending the winters in Port Charlotte, FL with her husband, Edward.

In addition to her husband of 45 years, Mrs. Danielewicz is survived by one granddaughter, Joelle (Tony) Linhares; two great-granddaughters, Alicia and Cierra; one great-great-granddaughter, Kylee; her step-son, Jeffrey (Tammy) Danielewicz of Syracuse, NY; two step-grandsons, Jeffrey Danielewicz, Jr. and Jeremy Danielewicz; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her son, Joseph Tracy; four sisters, Evelyn (late Francis) Bishop, Mary (late Anthony) Marinelli, Pauline (late John) Rufran, Elvira (late Clarence) DeLong and two brothers, Joseph Risio, who was killed in the Normandy during World War II, and John (late Anna) Risio.

There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
