NIAGARA FALLS —
Charles Bray, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank and Emma Bray.
During World War II, Charles served in Europe with the U.S. Army from January 16, 1943 until his honorable discharge on January 15, 1946. On April 1, 1948, he married Vera Sudiak. She predeceased him on November 21, 1985. He was employed at DuPont Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls, NY, until retiring on February 28, 1983, after thirty-six years of service. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. As the family patriarch, he always put the needs of his family first and made sure they were taken care of. He had a passion for the outdoors and spent a great deal of his free time hunting. He enjoyed taking trips to the Adirondack Mountains, the Southern Tier and Pennsylvania. Charles also liked watching sports.
Charles is survived by two daughters, Janice Navis of Georgia and Deborah Antonacci of Niagara Falls, NY; his grandchildren, James (Andrea) Navis of Atlanta, GA, Nicole Antonacci of Charleston, SC, Jennifer (Josh) Morreale of Atlanta, GA, Anthony (Caterina) Antonacci of Niagara Falls, NY; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters, Sheldon, William, Willis, Willard, Ibbie, Dora, James, Clifford and Annie.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 2nd from 3-7 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a funeral service at 7 PM, concluding with military honors.
