Joseph Paul Tarapczynski, Sr.

NIAGARA FALLS — Joseph Paul Tarapczynski Sr., 52, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly, on Monday, November 28, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Leo Z. and Eleanor J. (Jones) Tarapczynski.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY.  He attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School. From 1987 until 1991, he owned and operated Tarpo’s Home Repairs in Niagara Falls, NY, and during the 1990’s, he also worked at various area companies. Joe became a certified locksmith in 1999 and was currently employed by Door Specialties, Inc. in Tonawanda for the past five years. Prior to that he worked at Perfetti Builders Hardware in Niagara Falls, NY, for ten years. Joe enjoyed football and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals for twenty years.

Joe was predeceased by his lifelong loving companion, Margerie Alice Sams. He was a loving dedicated father to Jovan Tarapczynski, Laura Tarapczynski, Jody Tarapczynski, Joseph Tarapczynski Jr., Jeremy Tarapczynski, Sr., April Tarapczynski and Danielle Tarapczynski, all of Niagara Falls, NY; and a beloved grandfather and papa to Drew Spurback, Nicholas and Jada Ribbeck, Jaleigha Rich, Dana Dale III and Jeremy Tarapczynski. He is also survived by six brothers and one sister Leo “Mike” (late Patricia) Tarapczynski, Jim (Carol) Tarapczynski, Rick Tarapczynski, Tim Tarapczynski, Gina Tarapczynski, Robert Tarapczynski and Bill (Cheryl) Tarapczynski, all of Niagara Falls, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Mark Tarapczynski, Sue Tarapczynski and Hal Tarapczynski.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468-19th Street, Niagara Falls, NY,  where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 11 AM with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
