Mary Chipolla

NIAGARA FALLS —

Mary (D'Aloise) Chipolla, 90 years old, formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away on November 28, 2013 at the Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center, in Alexandria, VA, while under hospice care. She was born on July 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Rocco and Marietta D'Aloise.
She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and worked for Bell Aircraft, the Naval Air Station and the Niagara Falls Air Force Base for many years. In her later years, she was a volunteer at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital and while residing in Virginia, she volunteered with the Acts Emergency Assistance Center in Dumfries, VA. She was an avid reader and crafter.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Chipolla (Stephen) Labus of Lake Ridge, VA; her twin brother, Nick D'Aloise of Ransomville, NY; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, James C. Chipolla; and her son, Jeffrey J. Chipolla. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Arthur, John, Guido, Albert and Henry D'Aloise.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will begin at 10:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace, 1055 North Military Road. Private burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Action In The Community Through Service (ACTS), P.O. Box 74, Dumfries, VA.
