NIAGARA FALLS — Alecia Boggs, 21, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 3, 2014 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Craig and Michelle (Rohrdanz) Boggs.

Alecia attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Catholic High School in 2010. She served as class treasurer and was a member of the ladies soccer team, as well as the cheerleading squad at Niagara Catholic. Alecia also attended Daemen College in Buffalo, NY in pursuit of becoming a social worker with Hospice. She was an avid hockey fan, both as a spectator and participant. She also enjoyed listening to music, reading and had an extreme passion for learning and poetry.

In addition to her parents, Alecia is survived by her brother, Ryan Boggs of Niagara Falls, NY; her grandparents, Gregory (Anita) Rohrdanz and Harry (late Alecia) (late Elaine) Boggs; her aunts and uncles, Gregg (Beth) Rohrdanz, Sherry (Abraham) Murillo, Scott Boggs, Kelly (Michael) Ventry, Kim (Stephen) Polizzi, Kenneth Lofstrand, Christopher Lofstrand and the late Keith Boggs. She is also survived by her many loving cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th, from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, May 7th, from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 8th, at 10 AM in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th St. & Independence Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Buffalo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to        Upstate New York Transplant Services, 110 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14203.
