NIAGARA FALLS — Jessie (Juras) Stempien, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, in Schoellkopf Health Center. Born February 4, 1923 in New York Mills, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva Juras and attended schools there. Jessie was employed as a cook  at the Red Jacket Inn for many years and was a former member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Robert "Bob") Sobczyk of Niagara Falls, NY; grandsons, Michael (Lisa) Sobczyk, Rob Sobczyk; her beloved great-granddaughters, Logan and Kendall Sobczyk; and her brother, James (Dorothy) Juras of Lewiston, NY; also several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Matthew S. Stempien; her brother, Walter (Elizabeth) Juras and sister, Jean (Adolf) Jircitano.

There is NO PRIOR VISITATION. Private family viewing, funeral services and burial in Holy      Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will take place at the convenience of the family.
